Overview

The brief.

This was just a fun little 'what if' project for me. If someone handed me the keys to a 1950s diner and asked me to run the branding, Juliet's Diner is what I'd come up with. I really just wanted to play around with mixing that nostalgic Americana vibe with some classic vintage pin-up illustrations.

The Challenge

This was just a fun concept piece I put together, playing around with a classic jazz-era vibe that didn't lean into the usual retro clichés. I honestly had an absolute blast sketching out the custom character and vectorizing the whole thing in Adobe Illustrator from start to finish. The whole process was just a lot of fun, and I'm still really fond of how the artwork turned out!

The Design Process

If I had to pick a favorite part of this whole thing, it was definitely getting to sketch out the character and then sitting down to clean up all those vector lines in Illustrator. There's something so satisfying about taking a rough pencil idea and turning it into a crisp, scalable logo graphic. Just a really fun little exercise in typography and character design.
